1. Such type of teaching is being given tostudent that they would be eligible to get the job in different department likeagriculture, forest education pharmacy sector and some are job in assistant professoretc.
2. Apart from botany course other co-curricularactivities are making to student to gain knowledge of nursery techniques , terrace gardening ,kitchen gardening , organic forming , varmi compost, mushroom cultivation andclean green environment, local flora, bonsai making, azolla cultivation, tricochoderma cultivation etc.
3. The goal of our department course is to giveinformation about various plant so that students could understand the importanceof plants like medicinal plants introduce some aayurveda and to save earth.
ABOUT US
Botanydepartment has been running 2007 in theinstitute at present there are one guist faculty members 1- lab technician and1- lab attended, working in the department 100 students of Bio-plan with botanyhas been taken admission in year 2021-22. Beside teaching at UG leveldepartment has been organising various co-curricular activities, which aidsteaching like conducting lecture series, E-Quiz (17) Project work like bonsaimaking, azolla cultivation,tricochoderma cultivation mushroom cultivation varmi compost, local flora ofvillage, ethno medicinal plant in different village, collection of medicinalplant, nursery preparing, grafting, budding, air laying and botanical gardenhas been developing in the college campus by our department. (More than 160 Mango,400 Drumstick, 5 bixaolerana, 10 roystonia, 70 polyanthea, 15 dalbarzia, 5pongamia, 50 guava) with tha help of college administration.
The department of Botany is one of the oldest departments of College and has been in the forefront providing quality education and training in the field for the past five decades. Established in 2007 Botany department has progressed to new levels. Currently Botany department runs UG course. the department has well established lab under Head of Department MR.BHASKAR CHANDRA
